Bevilacqua, Frank P. and Marie Endowed Scholarship in Education

The Frank P. and Marie Bevilacqua Endowed Scholarship in Education was created in December 2006 with an outright gift from Frank P. and Marie Bevilacqua. In 2022, it was revised with their intention to endow the scholarship over 10 years.

Frank P. and Marie Bevilacqua are both proud graduates of The »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵApp. Frank received a B.A. in Mathematics in 1972 and an MBA in 1974. Marie received a B.S. in Elementary Education in 1971 and a master's degree in elementary education in 1974. Frank is Managing Partner at W3 Global Accounting, an accounting firm in »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵApp. Marie taught elementary school in »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵApp and later taught religious education at St. Hilary School. The Bevilacquas have three grown children and four granddaughters.

The Bevilacquas are strong believers in education and in giving back to their University and to their community.

The Frank P. and Marie Bevilacqua Endowed Scholarship in Education is a two-year scholarship that provides support during a student's junior and senior years. »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵApp eligible for the scholarship must:

  • Be entering their junior year
  • Be enrolled full-time in The LeBron James Family Foundation School of Education
  • Have a plan to teach at the K-8 level
  • Have and maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher for both years
  • Be Ohio residents with demonstrated financial need

Every year, a minimum of two rising juniors will be selected for the scholarship by the University Scholarship Committee. The scholarship will automatically be renewed for each student's senior year, as long as they continue to meet the requirements. If a rising senior fails to meet requirements for renewal, the University Scholarship Committee may choose to provide the financial assistance to another senior who meets the eligibility criteria.

The scholarship's intent is to help with the cost of tuition and fees to two students for their junior and senior years.
