Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Endowed Scholarship

Since its founding in 1931, Beta Sigma Phi has grown to be an international organization of women with over 250,000 active members in nearly 12,500 chapters.  It is a cultural, social, and service organization and is not affiliated with any university or college.

The Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Endowed Scholarship is an endowed fund established with a $10,000 gift in 2000 from »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵApp City Council of Beta Sigma Phi, which is the governing organization of the six chapters of Beta Sigma Phi in »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵApp, Ohio.  The scholarship description was revised in 2017. 

The Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Endowed Scholarship is open to female students pursuing a degree in any major at The »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵApp.  The student must have graduated from a high school located in the five-county area of Summit, Stark, Portage, Wayne, or Medina with a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average.  Recipients may be incoming freshmen or students returning to the University to complete their degree.  If no applicant meets the geographical requirement, an applicant with a 2.5 cumulative grade point average from any high school in Ohio may be considered.  The recipient must also maintain a 2.5 cumulative grade point average throughout their studies at the University.

Final selection of the recipient(s) will be made by »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵApp City Council of The Beta Sigma Phi Sorority from applications presented to them by the »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵApp, Department of Development.
