Bernard-Dean Scholarship in Family and Child Development

The Bernard-Dean Scholarship in Family and Child Development was created in 2002 by Susan D. and David D. Witt to honor their fathers, Bernard Prebynski and Dean Witt. This scholarship will provide financial assistance to a family development or child development major in the School of Family and Consumer Sciences. The recipient must have demonstrated resilience in the face of adversity and will be asked to submit a short essay with the scholarship application describing how he/she met this criterion and explaining how the award will assist them in achieving their professional goals. The recipient will be selected by the Student Relations Committee of the School of Family and Consumer Sciences in coordination with Drs. Susan D. and David D. Witt.
