Kenyon, Robert G. Endowed Scholarship for Transfer »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵApp

The Robert G. Kenyon Endowed Scholarship for Transfer »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵApp was established in 2023 by Mr. Robert G. Kenyon Jr., an alumnus of The »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵApp. Mr. Kenyon has a special affinity for his alma mater and particularly for LIA students who are following the path he took to earn an undergraduate degree.

Born and raised in Geneva, Ohio, Mr. Kenyon earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from UA's Buchtel College of Arts and Sciences in 1981. He transferred to the University in 1978 after first completing an associate degree at Lakeland Community College. Mr. Kenyon feels strongly that his two-year degree program positioned him - both academically and financially - to be the best possible student he could be when he entered UA.

Today, students who transfer to UA after completing a two-year program are among the University's strongest recruits, arriving well-prepared and with a determination to achieve their goal of earning a bachelor's degree.

After graduating from UA, Mr. Kenyon spent his career working in the chemistry field and retired as Senior Research Chemist from Ricerca Inc. in 2001. Since retirement, he has stayed active pursuing his passion for helping others, primarily through philanthropy and volunteerism with organizations such as the Boy Scouts, his church, VITA (income tax assistance for the elderly), and UA's ZipAssist.

This endowed scholarship was created as part of the We Rise Together Campaign for The »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵApp.

Current and incoming students eligible for The Robert G. Kenyon Endowed Scholarship for Transfer »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵApp must:
