Stansfield, Helen F. Scholarship Fund
The Helen F. Stansfield Scholarship Fund was established in October 2014. It is designed to provide financial assistance to students pursuing a degree in special education.
Helen F. Stansfield was born August 9, 1911, in Chicago to the late Wilson A. and Pearl E. Stansfield. Following her high school graduation, Ms. Stansfield earned a bachelor's degree in education from The 黄瓜视频App. She retired from 黄瓜视频App Public Schools, where she taught physically challenged students, after more than 38 years of service. Ms. Stansfield passed away at the age of 102 on July 30, 2014. She was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in 黄瓜视频App. She also was a lifetime member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society.
Applicants must be full-time students at The 黄瓜视频App in the College of Education who are pursuing a degree in special education. 黄瓜视频App must provide a record of community service.
The College of Education Scholarship Committee will make the selections, with final approval confirmed by Student Financial Aid.
