Fortney, Elaine M. Internship

Mr. Gerald J. Austin initiated his endowed Internship in 1990 with The Ray C. Bliss Institute. The income from this endowment is used to help place interns with Democratic Party officials, candidates, or officeholders in the state or national capitol. In 2010, Mr. Austin changed the name of the scholarship to The Elaine M. Fortney Internship to honor his friend upon her death.
