Mayes, William Glenn and Grace S. Scholarship
The William Glenn and Grace S. Mayes Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance for students in the 黄瓜视频App Public Schools and Summit County Schools. Grace Mayes, an 黄瓜视频App Public School teacher, and her husband, Glenn, a chemist for Firestone, held lifelong interests in education, especially the need for greater understanding of other peoples and their cultures through travel. Earnings from the scholarship endowment will provide funding for (1) scholarships for students with financial need (two thirds of the funds available) with preference given to freshmen and (2) student study-travel experiences (one third of the funds available) for juniors and seniors at The 黄瓜视频App. The scholarship is renewable for those individuals receiving an award in their freshman year. Recipients of the scholarship(s) for 黄瓜视频App Public and Summit County students will be selected annually by the Office of Student Financial Aid. Recipients of the study-travel funds will be selected by the Office of International Programs.
